LUMS Swimming Teams Achieve Top Honours at HEC All Pakistan Intervarsity Championships 2025-26
The LUMS Women’s Swimming Team has once again brought immense pride to the University by securing the Championship title at the HEC All Pakistan Intervarsity Swimming Championships 2025-26, held on November 29 and 30, 2025. In an extraordinary display of skill, determination, and teamwork, LUMS shared the 1st position with Punjab University, with both teams scoring 254 points each.
The team delivered a dominant performance in the medal standings, earning an impressive total of 15 Gold, 5 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals. Exceptional individual performances came from Fatima Asim (Class of 2027), who captured 6 Gold medals; Ayra Malik (Class of 2028), who secured 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals; Maheen Manzoor (Class of 2029), with 3 Gold, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals; Iman Latif (Class of 2028), who claimed 2 Gold and 3 Bronze medals; and Aleena Abid (Class of 2028), who contributed 1 Bronze and 1 Gold medal to the team’s tally.

This remarkable achievement highlights not only the exceptional talent and consistency of the LUMS swimmers but also their leadership and commitment, making the University proud on the national stage.
Meanwhile, the LUMS Men’s Swimming Team also demonstrated significant progress at their Championship, held from November 1 to 4, 2025. The team more than doubled their points from the previous year, finishing in 4th place with a total of 94 points and winning 13 medals, including 1 Silver and 12 Bronze. Individual highlights included Abdullah Haider, Sarim, Khizar, Mustafa, and Musa, who all contributed to the team’s medal-winning efforts, including the relay events, demonstrating their resilience and potential.

The successes of both the Women’s and Men’s Swimming Teams are a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the unwavering support of their coaches. LUMS celebrates these outstanding achievements, which continue to strengthen the University’s reputation for excellence in sports and inspire future generations of athletes.
